Destination Wedding Photography of Anna and Anton’s Beach Ceremony at the Four Seasons Seychelles

We launched our new luxury photography and film business to focus on destination weddings and enable us to travel the World doing the thing we love.   The wonderful thing about this job is that you don’t know where it will take you and we certainly didn’t expect our first destination wedding photography location under byLumiere to be a beach wedding in the Seychelles.

We have worked with this wonderful Russian family before and it all began when we shot the eldest daughter’s destination wedding photography at Villa D’este on Lake Como followed by a second celebration at their home in Saratov.   The Seychelles holiday was an opportunity to bring the whole family together to celebrate the parents 30th Wedding Anniversary in a vows renewal ceremony on the stunning Petit Anse beach at The Four Seasons.  Brent and I were so inspired by the amazing intimacy of the celebration that we vowed to have a small destination wedding ourselves (we weren’t actually engaged at the time!).

Not long before the holiday Anna, the middle daughter, made the decision to make the most of the tropical location and bring her July wedding forward and marry her fiancé Anton in the Seychelles because they loved the idea of a beach wedding ceremony.

February in the Seychelles can deliver unpredictable weather and the days we were shooting gave us sunshine, high humidity and absolutely torrential downpours – just part of the challenges of outdoor destination wedding photography!  Anna and Anton’s wedding day was one of downpours which resulted in moody skies and dramatic photographs on the beach.  It was lovely to have the opportunity to photograph them both on other days when we had a more typical golden hour on the beach and a stunning sunset from their villa’s infinity pool.

The aerial images of The Four Seasons were shot on a DJI drone and we couldn’t have survived the week without our essential Magmod kit.
